How do I let AI agents buy from my store?

Turn on agent selling in your commerce platform's settings, make sure your products are in the catalog or feed that AI channels read, and keep a checkout that agents can reach. On Shopify, agentic storefronts are on by default for eligible stores. Then check on ARC that agents actually get a checkout link.

The short answer

Turn on the platform's agent-selling setting, put products where AI channels can read them, and keep a checkout an agent can reach. Then confirm the result on ARC. Which AI channels a store is enrolled in is not visible from outside.

Which AI channels each store is enrolled in: Not measuredNot measuredARC cannot see a merchant admin. A missing enrollment is not a no.

Step 1: find your platform's agent-selling setting

On Shopify, the help docs say agentic storefronts are on by default for eligible stores. That sentence is Shopify's, not an ARC measurement. Other platforms document their own switch. ARC measures what a public check can see: a checkout link, by platform.

Step 2: get products into the catalog or feed AI channels read

Agents that use a catalog need the product in that catalog. Agents that read the page need structured data. ARC's price and stock check is the page's structured data. Not tested is not a failure.

Step 3: choose direct checkout or a redirect to your store

Some channels let a shopper pay without leaving the chat. If that is off, the shopper is sent to your checkout. ARC does not measure that switch. It does measure whether a checkout link came back.

Direct-checkout switch, per channel: Not measuredNot measured

Step 4: publish a protocol profile if your platform doesn't

If the platform does not publish UCP for you, publish /.well-known/ucp yourself. Steps for WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores are on how to add UCP off Shopify. ACP adoption is not measured.

Step 5: confirm it works on ARC

Run /agent-checkout and read the checkout link on your store page. A checkout link is not a completed purchase. A missing result is not a no.

Do I need an app to sell through AI assistants?
On Shopify, no. Agentic storefronts is a built-in sales channel. Other platforms differ, so check your platform's documentation.
What is direct checkout?
Some AI channels let a shopper pay without leaving the chat. If it's off, the shopper is sent to your own checkout. Which channels a store is enrolled in is not visible from outside, so ARC labels that Not measured.
How do I know it worked?
Run a free ARC check and see whether agents get a checkout link.
