Agent checkout launches

Every agent-checkout launch ARC tracks, newest first. Each entry says what launched in the company's own words, links its announcement, and links ARC's measurement where one exists.

An entry is not an ARC finding. Where ARC has not measured a launch, the entry says so. ARC is not affiliated with any of these companies.

  1. · Visa

    Visa Agentic Commerce Benchmark

A benchmark of AI models' purchase decisions, not of checkout. 22 models from 12 labs took 15 shopping challenges; a pass needs the model to uncover the shopper's requirements and make the right buy or no-buy decision. Visa says it will extend testing to checkout, payment and order placement later. ARC's pilot is a different measurement: whether agents reach checkout on real stores.

    Amazon Shop Direct Merchant Workspace

A free self-service portal for eligible merchants to register for Shop Direct and connect their store, so products appear on Amazon and Alexa for Shopping for US customers. It is not an open API for third-party agents. For eligible products, Amazon's own agent, Buy for Me, places the order on the merchant's site after the customer confirms on Amazon. The merchant handles shipping, returns and service.
