Which e-commerce platforms support AI agents?

In ARC's checks, support for AI agents varies sharply by platform. ARC's adoption tracker shows, for each platform, how many checked stores publish UCP, MCP or WebMCP and return a checkout link, with sample sizes. Platform is detected from public signals, so some stores show as not detected.

Short answer

Read the table with the sample size. A high percentage on a tiny sample is not a lead. Platform comes from public homepage fingerprints. Headless and custom stores often show as Not detected, which is not a failure.

Why sample sizes matter

Shopify share of completed checks: 1,800 of 4,318 (41.7%)MeasuredCompleted checks in ARC saved checks, accessed 2026-10-13. A store with no completed check is outside this count. No other platform in this table has more completed checks. A platform with fewer than 20 completed checks can swing when one store changes.

Headless and custom stores

"Not detected" means the homepage fingerprint did not match a platform ARC knows. The store can still be checked on its own page. An empty platform field in the dataset means the platform was not measured on that row.

What to ask your platform

Do stores get a public UCP profile, a storefront MCP server, and a checkout link without a custom project? Then check your own store. The announcement is not the measurement.
