The Protocol Matrix on this site uses a different sample. ARC saved checks, accessed 2026-10-13: UCP transacts is 1,563 of 4,492. That figure is all regions in the matrix, not the US-only snapshot above.

Why the gap is wide

On Shopify, a UCP profile and a checkout link are the common result in this snapshot. Off Shopify they are rare. This is a correlation, not evidence that the platform causes the result. The gap is in the measured US sample. It is also shaped by what the check knows how to ask for.

Limits of the check outside Shopify

The methodology says the check is Shopify-shaped. "No agent catalog" on another platform does not prove agents cannot reach checkout there. A no in this table is "no UCP checkout link came back", not "no agent can ever buy".

Platform breakdown

Completed US checks in 2026-10-12.r2. "Not detected" is a platform ARC could not name. A blank platform is a homepage the check could not read. Named platforms below returned no UCP checkout link in this sample.

Rarely, in ARC's 12 October 2026 US snapshot. In dataset 2026-10-12.r2, 21 of 616 checked US stores not detected as Shopify (3.4%) returned a UCP checkout link, compared with 629 of 715 Shopify stores (88.0%). Platform detection is from public signals; 498 of the 616 have no confirmed platform. The check is Shopify-shaped, so a no elsewhere is not proof agents cannot reach checkout.

Is the gap real or a measurement artefact?

Partly both. The US snapshot shows a wide gap, and ARC's check is Shopify-shaped. A no is not proof agents cannot reach checkout on that platform.

Which non-Shopify stores pass?

In dataset 2026-10-12.r2, 21 US stores not labelled Shopify returned a checkout link. This page lists them. None were labelled WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce, Adobe Commerce, Squarespace or Wix.
